Istana
We have chosen to name our house "Istana" as a memory of
our wonderful years in Malaysia. "Istana" is the name of the king's palace in
Kuala Lumpur, and our dog "Rajah" rules in our little palace as the sultan his
name indicates.
The word "palace" might be a little exaggerated but 365m2
is a big house according to Danish standards, so we will all have plenty of space.
The house is built in 1947 and has a 1685m2 garden. We are situated
in Vanløse - a residential area in Copenhagen.
Although the center of Copenhagen is only 3.5 km away it is quiet and
peaceful here.
We are very close (150m) to public transportation (busses and
trains).
Most types of shops and several restaurants are within walking
distance.
To reach the center of Copenhagen takes only 15 minutes by bus.
