Founded in February 2016 by ex-Rhapsody of Fire singer Fabio Lione; most of the other members come from the Italian progressive metal act Hollow Haze.

According to drummer Camillo Colleluori, the band’s name reflects “the members’ devotion to their music” and is taken from the Tony Martin-led Black Sabbath, a passion shared by the founding members.
